Fonassa Bruyere, 17, loved to laugh and run errands with her grandmother. She was last seen getting into a car in Winnipeg on Aug. 9, 2007.
Later that month, her body was discovered in a field northwest of the city. According to family, she was stabbed 17 times.
Project Devote, a task force dedicated to investigating missing and murdered persons cases in Manitoba, is investigating the homicide.
