Jeanette Basil was a 33-year-old single mother to one son.
On August 1, 1985 she was robbed and stabbed to death on Hastings Street in Vancouver while visiting from Prince George, British Columbia. Her son was with his father at the time.
The Vancouver Police Department is investigating the homicide, and have made no arrests in the case.
